So this is my first official blog post and you’re probably wondering why the fuck I care about a language that “hardly anybody speaks,” which is basically what the majority of Americans say about any language that isn’t English. Why do I care? Two reasons: 1. I have a Bachelor’s in Linguistics 2. I want to visit Iceland within the next year or two. I decided to Google ‘Icelandic’ and actually found a really interesting article called Icelandic Has the Best Words for Technology (go ahead an click that link if you’d like and give it a read, but I’m going to cover a little bit of it down below).
So, we’re going to learn a little about Icelandic today.
